Significant Info To Be Aware Of
This is the first time the course has hosted the World Wide Technology Championship. 2023 World Wide Technology Championship Trends
With this being a new course, we have very little to go on by way of historical trends. However, the following are common to the World Wide Technology Championship:

Americans have dominated this event. Since the tournament began in 2007, the only non-American winners were Graeme McDowell (2015) and Viktor Hovland (2020 and 2021).

Angles of approach are going to be very important and will dictate the type of shots you should consider. I love this kind of golf.” Tiger Woods

2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 3 Summary
A crazy 3rd round saw Matt Kuchar stretch six clear of the field after 14 holes, before an eight on the 15th hole, followed by a bogey on 16 saw his lead vanish.
2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 4 Weather
Sunny. Wind 5-14mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
Matt Kuchar remains favourite at a best price of 11/4 but there has to be serious concerns after watching his last four holes, where he looked completely out of sorts. Kuchar is clearly an established winner on tour but hasn't won a PGA Tour title since January 2019 despite many close calls. In his favour is the surrounding players nearest to him - Villegas is playing with a lot of pressure and has a lack of recent Sunday contention experience and whilst Van Rooyen won the Baracuda in 2021, he can't be considered one of the tours best closers. Justin Suh was lacklustre in contention at ZOZO whilst Will Gordon is chasing his maiden win. Mackenzie Hughes could end up Kuchar's biggest threat but this looks wide open and we can't rule out a winner from off the pace.
In-Play World Wide Technology Championship Bets We Considered
The group on 15 under par all look worth considering given our doubts surrounding the leaders. The five players on that score range from 40/1 to 80/1 and they are big prices from just four shots back.

2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 2 Summary
41 year old Camilo Villegas produced another 64 to take a two shot lead. Round one favourite Cameron Young almost missed the cut with a 74 whilst Ludvig Aberg shot 65 to break into the top 10.
2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 3 Weather
Sunny. Wind 5-14mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
There isn't much to seperate the front five in the market with five players between 6/1 and 8/1. Matt Kuchar has been given slight favouritsim and rightly so given he is the most established winner at the top of the leaderboard. It is very much a leaderboard to be taken on though and we can see a lot of movement in the leaderboard today.
In-Play World Wide Technology Championship Bets We Considered
The wind looks set to be more of a factor for the leaders so we may see the chasing pack make up decent ground. The 25/1 for Will Gordon at Bet365 stood out from the front of the market, Gordon was 3rd in Mexico last year and has the power game to score low over the weekend. We opted to focus on the bigger prices further down the leaderboard though.

2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 1 Summary
49 year old Cameron Percy produced his lowest ever round to lead by two shots. Conditions were perfect for scoring with barely any wind.
2023 World Wide Technology Championship Round 2 Weather
Sunny. Wind 6-9mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
Cam Young is now 5/1 favourite and is three shots behind Percy. He showed no rust despite not playing any golf since the end of August, hitting 100% of fairways and greens. He commented that he's been practising hard at home and the wide fairways are an ideal spot for him to return to competitive golf. With that said, he's not for us at the price, purely due to the nature of this event which could become a bit of a putting contest.
In-Play World Wide Technology Championship Bets We Considered
The 20/1 on offer for Nate Lashley at Bet365 was very tempting, Lashley likes playing in Mexico with the Paspalum grass and has three top 10's at the Puerto Rico Open and a top 5 at Corales. A runaway winner of the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic, he has proved he can win a low scoring event in style, if he can maintain his iron play today, he should be in contention at the weekend.
