Significant Info
Expect low scoring - Jim Furyk recorded a 58 here in 2016.
Be aware that the greens used to be Bentgrass and ran quite slow, but an overhaul several years ago saw Poa Annua introduced with the greens now notably faster.
This is once again an elevated event in 2024, with a significantly deeper field than we are used to seeing in this event.
Travelers Championship Trends
Winning Score
Between 2005 and 2022 the winning score ranged between -12 and -20. However, last year Keegan Bradley shot 23 under par to win.
Course Form
Eleven of the last thirteen champions had played this event prior to winning. Of the eleven players who had played the course before, eight of those winners had recorded a top 15 finish in this event prior to winning.
Recent Form
Four of the past ten champions had missed the cut in their last start prior to winning here, so it is possible to find your game at TPC River Highlands. That said, the six other champions had recorded a top 35 in their previous start.
World Ranking
We generally see better players prevail in this event. Seven of the past eight champions have ranked 28th or better when they teed off. Kevin Streelman (2014) was the last player to win from outside of the world's top 50 (he was 58th).
Nationality
Americans have won ten of the last thirteen events here.

The last eight winners have ranked 29-9-17-87-9-138-72-47. In general, you don't need to be accurate off the tee but recent winners have been.

SG: Putting
The last eight winners have ranked 1-4-18-6-13-31-41-28. For a course that regularly yields low scores, a hot putter surprisingly hasn't been all that important.
Travelers Championship In Play Advice
Tough Holes
The 4th and 5th holes generally play as the hardest holes on the course.
Birdie Holes
The par 5's (6th and 13th) play as the easiest holes. The short par 4s, the 2nd and 15th, generally offer birdie opportunities too.
Closing Stretch
According to Stewart Cink, holes 15-18 offer "four of the most exciting finishing holes in a group anywhere in the world". The 15th is a driveable par 4 but the 16th and 17th are much harder and par is a good score.
Fast or Slow Start
A fast start in round one isn't essential. Dustin Johnson was 79th in 2020 after the opening 18 holes and 2018 champion, Bubba Watson, wasn't much better in 77th.
Xander Schauffele led at the halfway stage but the two champions before him were 20th at the halfway stage. However, the four champions before them were all inside the top eight.
Six of the last eight Travelers champions have been in the final pairing on Sunday. Bubba Watson and Harris English won from 6th position after 54 holes in 2018 and 2021 respectively.

2024 Travelers Championship Round 2 Conditions
Play was once again suspended due to the threat of lightning but players were able to come back and finish round three. Conditions prior to the suspension were sunny with a gentle breeze.
2024 Travelers Championship Round 4 Weather Bias?
Sunny intervals. Wind 10-14mph.
Round 4 Outright Market Summary
Tom Kim's lead has shortened to one stroke but the 54 hole lead is almost identical to the 36 hole leaderboard. Scottie Scheffler remains favourite at 7/4 and he will be difficult to beat given he leads the round four scoring average on the PGA Tour for those who have played in more than ten final rounds. A five time winner this year, there is an argument for suggesting he should be slightly shorter.
Eye Catching Niche Market Prices - Travelers Championship
Mathieu Pavon (2/1) to beat Patrick Cantlay and Cameron Young (Par 3 scoring)
Pavon is 18th for the year in par 3 scoring whilst Cantlay and Young rank 84th and 142nd respectively. The Frenchman has also outscored his opponents on the par 3s so far this week, having played the 12 par three holes to date in four under par whilst Cantlay and Young have played the same holes in level par. Pavon shouldn't be the 2/1 outsider in this par three only scoring market.

2024 Travelers Championship Round 2 Conditions
Play was briefly stopped due to the threat of lightning but sunny with minimal breeze otherwise.
2024 Travelers Championship Round 3 Weather Bias?
Thunderstorms once again possible in the afternoon. Wind 3-6mph.
Round 3 Outright Market Summary
Scottie Scheffler has shortened to a best price of 19/10, having moved within two shots of leader, Tom Kim. The world number one made a significant improvement from tee to green in round two and will be tough to beat should that level of performance continue.

2024 Travelers Championship Round 1 Conditions
Scoreable conditions with 43 out of the 70 players breaking par.
2024 Travelers Championship Round 2 Weather Bias?
Thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Wind 3-6mph.
Round 2 Outright Market Summary
Scottie Scheffler is the 14/5 favourite after an opening round of 65 and is once again the man to beat. That said, the strongest part of Scheffler's game in round one was his putting and should that continue he may be vulnerable. Scheffler is coming off the back of his worst finish of the year at last week's U.S. Open but his tee to green numbers have been strong throughout and it would be a surprise were he not to post stronger tee to green stats in round two.

Sahith Theegala TOP 20 Finish - 9/5 @ Bet365
Theegala had a miserable day on the greens in round one, ranking as the worst putter in the field. Despite that horror show on the greens, he is only two shots off the top 20 and capable of making up ground. Theegala gained strokes with all other areas of his game in round one, ranking 5th for SG: Tee to Green. Some bookies go as short as 6/5 that Theegala makes the top 20 so the 9/5 with Bet365 is a standout price.
