Course Form
Last year's winner, Trey Mullinax, had a solitary missed cut on his CV at Keene Trace GC. Winner in 2021, Seamus Power, had 53rd and 34th place finishes at the event. Neither champion before him had played the course before. Course form has not been important to date at Keene Trace GC.

2023 Barbasol Championship In Play Advice
Tough Holes
The 17th and 18th played as the hardest holes last year.
Birdie Holes
The par 5's (5th, 8th, 11th and 15th) played as the easiest holes in 2021. The par 4 1st hole played as the next easiest.
Closing Stretch
The closing three holes were all ranked inside the four toughest holes for the week in 2021. All three played over par so bogeys are possible.
Fast or Slow Start
It has been vital to make a fast start in each of the four tournaments played at Keene Trace. Every winner has been inside the top 4 after the first round and Seamus Power was the first winner not to have led from halfway. Power was never worse than 5th so being up with the leaders is very important.

2023 Barbasol Championship Round 3 Summary
Trevor Cone took the lead after a bogey free 63, which was matched by our 50/1 Grayson Murray who is now four back. Halfway leader Lucas Glover and young Swede Vincent Normann shot solid rounds and are lurking one back of Cone.
Notable Round 4 Barbasol Championship Quotes
"Definitely need to clean a couple things up this afternoon and get ready for tomorrow. It's going to be a shootout and I can't hit it how I hit it today and expect to be there in the end tomorrow, so got to go work a little bit. " Lucas Glover
" I think looking back on my couple of wins on the Korn Ferry, try and take techniques I used. I even used one today, I just kind of took a lot of deep breaths in
through the nose and then out through the mouth, like four, five seconds of each just to calm down, especially on the greens." Trevor Cone
2023 Barbasol Championship Round 4 Weather
Sunny. Max wind 10mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
We are happy to take leader Trevor Cone on tonight. Although a Korn Ferry Tour winner last year, he has had a poor season on the PGA Tour and today will mean an awful lot to him, almost season defining.
In-Play Barbasol Championship Bets We Considered
We considered getting Vincent Norrman onside but he looks a tad short at 3/1 and this looks like a event where we could see an off the pace winner now. With a 63 available yesterday, we will be targeting the group at 13 under par.

2023 Barbasol Championship Round 2 Summary
Lucas Glover made it a perfect ten as he fired his tenth consecutive round in the 60s to open up a two shot lead at the halfway point of the Barbasol Championship.
Notable Round 2 Barbasol Championship Quotes
"Birdied the last two, makes lunch taste good. It was a bit of a struggle today, especially compared to yesterday. Uncharacteristically drove it very poorly, I just didn't hit enough fairways to hit the ball close and take it low again. Happy the way I finished and happy the way I rolled it, just not many of them were very close today. " Lucas Glover
" I played nice. I was happy to have minimal neck main today compared to yesterday. It was kind of more of a dull pain that I can play through, but it wasn't the sharp pain that I had yesterday. Yeah, I played well. A few mistakes here and there, but made a lot of birdies." Adam Long
2023 Barbasol Championship Round 3 Weather
Potential thunderstorm. Max wind 11mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
We weren't keen to take Glover on in yesterday's blog and that remains our position. The last four winners of this event have all been inside the top five at halfway and two of the 36 hole leaders went on to win.
The last time Glover held a halfway lead (2019 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open) he would go on to finish ninth. However, he has won the John Deere Classic since then and appears to be a confident man on the greens since switching to the long putter.
In-Play Barbasol Championship Bets We Considered
There aren't any third round two ball prices available at the time of writing.
Odds of 10/11 for Jason Dufner to finish inside the top 20 made significant appeal. Dufner has never finished worse than 27th at Keene Trace in three attempts and ranks 6th in SG: Tee to Green through the opening two rounds. He is currently tied 9th and the 10/11 is a reasonable price.

2023 Barbasol Championship Round 1 Summary
Lucas Glover continued his fine run of form (it was his ninth consecutive round in the 60s) to shoot an afternoon 63 and take a one stroke lead into the second round.
Notable Round 1 Barbasol Championship Quotes
" I got to a point with putting, I needed a whole new -- basically a whole new brain function, a whole new method. It was 10 years of fighting the legit just yips and made my mind up with some urging from some guys on my team to just try it. I had two weeks off before Memorial and just ordered one and taught myself how to use it and been kind of sticking to that. Tommy Lamb, my caddie, he and I are about the only ones that know my checkpoints. We've been working on it, myself, he and I together. It's been fun to teach myself something in the game I've been doing for literally 40 years." Lucas Glover
"Today was just all tee to green. I drove it really nice and just hit a bunch of great iron shots. Put a new old set of irons back in the bag, a set of New Levels that I really liked and had in the past. Was fortunate to have them kind of build them up for me and get them overnighted to me. Got them Wednesday morning just to get something back in my hands that just felt right. Hit them great today, distance control was really nice. Had three really good chances for eagle, which I made zero of them, but having two-putt birdies three times a day is nice and no stress two-putts are nice. It was just one of those days. I haven't looked at the exact statistics, but I imagine my tee to green and especially strokes gained approach will be very, very high today. It's very possible I could be negative putting for the day, I hit it so well and it was just around the hole. Certainly missed several good opportunities." Ryan Moore
2023 Barbasol Championship Round 2 Weather
Sunny. Max wind 6mph.
Back or Fade The Favourite?
Lucas Glover is the 4/1 favourite and other than the fact there are plenty of chasers behind him, it's hard to build a case against him. Glover appears to have found a new lease of life on the greens since switching to a longer putter and coupled with his excellent tee to green stats, he's very much the player to beat this week.
Each of the four course winners have been inside the top four after the opening round so history suggests we shouldn't look too far down the leaderboard. Glover has an early tee time and we're not looking to take him on at this point.
In-Play Barbasol Championship Bets We Considered
Adam Long complained of neck issues in his post round interview and he was a player we considered taking on in today's three balls. There wasn't much to split his opponents though. Cameron Percy would be marginally preferred to Daan Huizing if pushed though.
Marcus Kinhult was another three ball selection that made significant appeal. He has started strongly and is up against an out of sorts Jens Dantorp and Carl Yuan.
